December has been one hell of a month for me. I feel like everything is just happening all at the same time that I just cannot breathe easily anymore. Don’t get me wrong! A lot of good things happened recently. SERIOUSLY A LOT.
However, VERY recently, Iligan City, my hometown, the home of my beautiful childhood memories, got hit by a great flashflood that detroyed a lot of homes and took precious lives. Even my very own family was not spared by this one terrible event.
With all that has happened, I only have one thought. Nothing is permanent. Everything in life is ephemeral. And the great Clara C sure has perfectly captured that thought in this song.
Til We Go - Clara C
Well the gray is choking the
Blue out of the sky
But the love’s beaming from this
Little house of mine
See the sun and its friends have
Come inside to hide
From the gunmetal gray
Explosions in the sky
Life’s a tune
That will always change
Change is the only
Constant we’ll ever know
So til we go
We’ll sing
Well the rain came and soaked
Both us and our parade
But the fresh coat of green’s
Only got the rain to thank
We are being uprooted by a hurricane
But the love beaming from our house
Will let us say
Life’s a tune
That will always change
Change is the only
Constant we’ll ever know
So til we go
We’ll sing
Well the wind is pounding on our
Walls are breaking and the
Rain is seeping through the
Floor is drowning in the
Gray is pursuing but we beam so bright
And til we go, we’ll sing
